I've been writing blogs for more than 5 years and still, I'm motivated to keep on writing blogs.
What are the reasons?
Did I earn a lot from blogging?
The answer is not simple. Today I received an email from Grammarly(A free tool I'm using for correcting spelling) stating "Today you have won a new batch. Check it out."
When I opened it was my weekly writing update.
Tips to keep yourself motivated to keep on writing blogs
Keeping yourself motivated to write blogs consistently can be tricky, but there are plenty of ways to rekindle your passion and keep the words flowing!
Here are some tips:
Reconnect with your why:
Remember your initial spark:
What made you start blogging in the first place?
Was it to share your expertise, connect with like-minded people, or simply for the joy of writing?
Reconnect with that initial passion to reignite your motivation.
Focus on your impact:
Read through comments or messages from your readers. Seeing how your blog resonates with others can be a powerful motivator. Celebrate your wins, big or small, and acknowledge the positive impact you're making.
Revamp your routine:
Revamping your routine means intentionally making changes to your regular habits and patterns to improve different aspects of your life. It's about taking a proactive approach to reshaping your daily or weekly schedule to achieve specific goals or enhance overall well-being.
Schedule writing time:
Treat blogging like any other important commitment. Block out specific times in your calendar dedicated to writing, even if it's just 30 minutes a day. Consistency is key.
Change your environment:
Shake things up! Try writing in a different location, like a coffee shop or library. A fresh setting can spark new ideas and combat feeling stuck.
Set achievable goals:
Don't aim for daily posts if it feels overwhelming. Start with smaller, achievable goals like writing a new post once a week or fortnight. Completing these goals will build momentum and confidence.
Boost your creativity:
Read voraciously:
Immerse yourself in the work of other writers, both bloggers and published authors. Pay attention to their writing styles and how they engage readers.
Experiment with formats:
Don't stick to the same formula every time. Try different writing styles, like listicles, interviews, or personal stories. Experimenting can keep things fresh and spark new ideas.
Engage with your community:
Join online forums or groups for bloggers. Connect with others who share your passion, bounce ideas off each other, and offer mutual support. Feel free to contact me. I would love to talk to you.
Celebrate and reward yourself:
Acknowledge your progress:
Don't underestimate the effort it takes to write and publish a blog post. Celebrate each completed piece, whether it's a mini-milestone or a full-fledged article.
Reward yourself:
Set up small rewards for reaching your writing goals. It could be a relaxing evening off, indulging in a favourite treat, or purchasing a new writing tool.
Remember, you're not alone:
Everyone experiences dips in motivation. Don't be afraid to take breaks, seek inspiration, and connect with others.
